Gujarat Municipal Election Results 2026: Elections to 15 Municipal Corporations, 84 Municipalities, and over 200 districts and taluka panchayats were held across Gujarat on April 26 and 27.

These were the first local body elections held after the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) in the state. In rural areas, voter turnout was recorded to be slightly higher than in urban areas.
Polling continued until 6 pm on Monday, with the counting of votes scheduled for Tuesday, April 28, 2026.
In Gujarat, polling for local body elections concluded peacefully across 15 Municipal Corporations, 84 Municipalities, and over 200 District and Taluka Panchayats.
According to official data, around 48.55 per cent voter turnout was recorded in Municipal Corporation elections, while nearly 58 per cent voting was reported in Nagar Palika polls. About 60 per cent polling was recorded in Taluka Panchayats and 61 per cent in District Panchayats till 5 pm.
The Prime Minister, who is registered as a voter in the Ranip area under the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation, exercised his franchise through postal ballot.

Gujarat local body election 2026: ગુજરાતમાં રવિવારે (26 એપ્રિલ, 2026) 15 મહાનગરપાલિકાઓ, 84 નગરપાલિકાઓ, 34 જિલ્લા પંચાયતો અને 260 તાલુકા પંચાયતોની ચૂંટણી માટે સવારના 7 વાગ્યાથી સાંજના 6 વાગ્યા સુધી એકદમ શાંતિપૂર્ણ માહોલમાં મતદાન પ્રક્રિયા પૂર્ણ થઈ ગઈ છે. રાજ્ય ચૂંટણી આયોગે જાહેર કરેલા અંતિમ આંકડા મુજબ, આ વખતે ગ્રામ્ય વિસ્તારો એટલે કે તાલુકા અને જિલ્લા પંચાયતોમાં શહેરી મતદારોની સરખામણીમાં વધુ ઉત્સાહ જોવા મળ્યો છે. એકાદ બે નાની-મોટી ટેકનિકલ ખામીઓને બાદ કરતા સમગ્ર રાજ્યમાં ક્યાંય કોઈ અનિચ્છનીય બનાવ બન્યો નથી. હવે સૌની નજર 28 એપ્રિલે યોજાનારી મતગણતરી પર ટકેલી છે.
