Gyan Sadhana Scholarship Result 2026

Mukhyamantri Gyan Sadhana Merit Scholarship (CGMS) 2026 is a Gujarat Government scholarship exam conducted by the State Examination Board (SEB). Through this exam, 25,000 meritorious students studying in Class 8 will be selected and given scholarship support to study from Class 9 to 12. The exam was held on 4 April 2026, and the application process is completely online and free of cost. The answer key has been released on 07 April 2026.

Eligibility Criteria

Students can apply if they meet the following criteria:

1. Studied from Class 1 to 8 in Government or Grant-in-Aid primary schools.
2. Are currently studying in Class 8 (2025-26) or passed Class 8.
3. Students admitted under RTE Act 2009 (25% quota) in private schools can apply (subject to income conditions).
4. Private school students may be eligible for limited available seats as per rules.
5. There is no income limit for Government school students.

Scholarship Amounts Under the Gyan Sadhana Merit Scholarship

Selected students will receive scholarship from Class 9 to Class 12 to continue their secondary and higher secondary education. Students selected for the Gyan Sadhana Merit Scholarship will receive the following benefits once they qualify for the examination – (official reference)

1. For students admitted to private/self-financed schools (after qualifying):
   • Class 9–10: ₹22,000 per year
   • Class 11–12: ₹25,000 per year
2. For students who continue education in government or grant-in-aid schools:
   • Class 9–10: ₹6,000 per year
   • Class 11–12: ₹7,000 per year
