The first holiday in the month of March falls on 1st March.
March 1 is a four-foot festival in Mizoram.
Apart from Holi, 12 March is a holiday in many states on the start of Ramzan.
According to the guidelines of the Reserve Bank of India, banks are closed on Sundays and the second and fourth Saturdays of every month are also bank holidays. The Reserve Bank has announced holidays on March 1, 8, 22, 25, 26, 27 and 29. Apart from this, there are five Sundays in the month of March on 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th and 31st March while 9th and 23rd March fall on the second and fourth Saturday respectively which will be applicable in the banks of every state.
