CBT-1 परीक्षा सभी पदों के लिए समान (कॉमन) होगी। यह परीक्षा 90 मिनट की होगी और इसमें कुल 100 प्रश्न पूछे जाएंगे। प्रश्न पत्र में सामान्य जागरूकता (General Awareness) से 40 प्रश्न, गणित (Mathematics) से 30 प्रश्न और सामान्य बुद्धिमत्ता व तर्कशक्ति (General Intelligence & Reasoning) से 30 प्रश्न शामिल होंगे। परीक्षा में प्रत्येक गलत उत्तर के लिए एक तिहाई अंक की नेगेटिव मार्किंग भी लागू होगी।
CBT-2 परीक्षा भी सभी पदों के लिए कॉमन होगी। यह परीक्षा भी 90 मिनट की होगी, लेकिन इसमें कुल 120 प्रश्न होंगे। इनमें से 50 प्रश्न सामान्य जागरूकता, 35 प्रश्न गणित और 35 प्रश्न सामान्य बुद्धिमत्ता व तर्कशक्ति से होंगे। अंत में अकाउंट्स क्लर्क कम टाइपिस्ट और जूनियर क्लर्क कम टाइपिस्ट पदों के लिए अभ्यर्थियों को टाइपिंग स्किल टेस्ट (Typing Skill Test) देना होगा, जो केवल क्वालिफाइंग नेचर का होगा।
