Today our Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched the National Auto Mobile Scrapping Policy. PM Modi spoke on how scrapping policy can bring many benefits to India.
We know that the number of vehicles in our country has increased a lot and there is a big problem of traffic in the country. In it, our Ministry of Transport has announced a new policy on how we can control this.
PM Modi said that this policy will not only benefit the vehicle company but also the working people and new industries. He further said that if you have the documents of old vehicles with you, you will also get a lot of benefits on buying a new vehicle.
PM Modi has said that India had to import scrap steel worth about Rs 23,000 crore last year. The scraping that has taken place in India so far has not been productive, resulting in neither exactly energy recovery. Precious metal recovery cannot be done at the present time, it will benefit from scraping based on scientific technology.

Launching the National Scrapping Policy, PM Modi said it would also strengthen a self-reliant India. He said the value chain linked to auto manufacturing needs to be at least dependent on imports.
