Farmers are in dire need of tractors for farming but there are many farmers in India who do not have tractors due to economic hardship. In such a difficult situation, they hire a tractor or use an ox. The government has come up with this scheme to help the farmers. Under PM Kisan Tractor Scheme, tractors will be made available to farmers at half price.
The central government provides subsidy to farmers to buy tractors. Under it you can buy a tractor of any company at half price. The remaining half of the money will be made available by the government as a subsidy.

If you want to get subsidy on tractor, first check whether you are eligible for subsidy or not. You can then apply for this plan online or offline. You can apply for this scheme at the Common Service Center (CSC) or offline. Some states are also offering online application facility in the scheme which includes Bihar, Goa, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and Rajasthan.

In order to avail the benefits of this scheme, the farmer should have Aadhaar card, land papers, bank details, passport size photos in the form of required documents.
